new member and pics!!!

So im sorta a new meber here i ve been on here  since the summer of 08 but just recently ive been getting into doing forums and other stuff

so i thought id share alittle about me and baxter. Im 15 turning 16 this year, and im in grade 10 at my high school. i volenteer for may school and i have a part time job at a reasteraunt in town(to sopport baxter mostly but i still get money for myself, my parents said they would help me when i needed but  they wanted me to take full resposibility for him). i got baxter from a rabbit breeder on the out skirts of my town. i went and looked at the rabbits they had and i noticed  he had a chunk missing out of his ear and they said that his mom or one of his sibbilings took a bite at him and it caught his ear, and being that he had a chunk missing out of his ear he was “flawed” and they could no longer show him in competition so they told me they where going to raise him for meat,so right away i said id take him. and i he warmed up to me and my family really fast like withing a few days and now im attatched to him. he has such a unique peronality  and hes so eregetic but he does come aroun to get petted and to snugle but he would rather play with you. right this second hes zooming in circles on the floor lol. hes an 8 month old mini lop, hes not neutered yet but he will be in the next 6 months. hes pretty much  litter  trained but he does leave terettorial poos around but i figure that that will go away with the neutering. so ya thats him and i love him alot and heres some pics.

 

i am a first time rabbit owner so i you have any tips or pointers that would be great

welcome here! i’m so happy you were able to rescue Baxter from becoming an (UGH!) meat rabbit. my rabbit Max has a torn ear from when he was a baby, but i look at him and i just see a perfect bun.

it looks like your pics did not show up. if you need help adding them, we can assist you.

Sooo glad that you rescued Baxter from hossenfeffer stew.
Our bunny has a big tattoo on his ear thT says TOM. It just looks like it was very painfull. You sound like you will be a great bunny parent. They are so much fun. But the bunny poos might not go away after he is nuetered. Mr. Puddles still leaves them around. I guess that is what a whisk broom is for…

The poos may still be a few here n there.  The majority of poos outside the litterbox usually die down after spneuter.

You are already a bunny slave.  Didn’t take long did it?  Yeah and would love to see pics of your little friend.  Thats great that your parents will help out if needed.  You seem to be doing fine though having a job  and so forth.  Thats great.
