hello my name is kelsey and this is my babygirl Coco. ive had her for almost two years, since June 2019. she completely free roams around my room, is always in the living room also and is rarely ever in her cage, i have her cage opened 24/7 for her bathroom access and where she gets her hay! 🖤anyways i am going too a vacation for 3 days and i am having my cousin watch after her, which i am relived about but he doesn’t have much knowledge about rabbits. i left him a long list explaining her food /water/restroom/attention situation & her needs. i just still am very anxious about leaving her alone considering he is only gonna be able too stop by once or twice a day when we are gone. she will have my entire room too herself. but i’m scared she is going too feel very angry/depressed/upset while we are gone. it might be three days only too my family, but too me i know it’s gonna feel like an eternity we are gone too her, which just makes my anxiety sky rocket thinking about. cause she’s my baby and i just want her too emotionally and mentally be okay. should i buy her extra toys for the trip? stuff too keep her distracted? and busy? i just need some advice. any would be great. thank you so much

My parents always stop by a couple times per day when we are on vacation. To be honest, it always seems like our absence pretty much goes unnoticed. I suppose it depends on the rabbit though.

How soon is your trip? Maybe your cousin could practice feeding and interacting with her before you leave. That way, it wouldn’t be such a shock.

i leave in 3 days, and that is a good idea. she has seen him plenty of times, has been very aware of his presence but it just scares me. i don’t want her too feel so alone and depressed:(

I think she will be just fine, especially with just a 3 day trip.  I would make sure she has extra hay and some new boredom buster toys if you’re worried, my buns tend to eat more hay when I am gone and they get bored. I would have your sitter come twice a day though, since if a problem comes up you would want it to be noticed within 12 hours.
