Well, I’m rearranging some of the furniture in my room so that I can fit my bunny in there. After we rearrange the furniture, his home is going to be is an x-pen (completly bunny-safe and proof by the way).Well, it is Winter meaning the floor will be cold. I want to put something in there so that he can keep warm, however he will chew on towels and dig on blankets, so I’m a little clueless on what to put there. I’m thinking of a small area rug, but my family recently got rid of some. Also, the x-pen is a little bit spacious with only a litter-box and a food and water bowl. What else can I put there that he would like (by the way, he doesn’t chew on paper, he eats it)?

You can e-mail me or just reply on this forum.

        THANKS!!

P.S. I am on a bit of a budget and would not like to spend more than 20$-30$ on this new habitat.

Grass mats or seagrass mats would be perfect and are very safe if he chooses to nibble them.
Cardboard boxes with a couple small holes cut out for hiding and chewing.
Hardware stores have concrete pouring tubes that make a great tunnel.
If he likes to dig in paper, you can try a diggy box.

Agree with Beka. Also, I wouldn’t worry about him getting cold because bunnies can be comfortable at cooler temperatures than humans for the most part (easily down to 50 degrees). It’s freezing in my house now – I’m wearing at least 3 layers of clothes and 2 pairs of socks. But where is my bunny sleeping? Right on the cold hardwood floor. Haha. Clearly he is much more comfortable than I am!

thanks you guys! BTW, like I said, he doesn’t dig or chew on the paper, he eats it. So the diggy box (which I tried before) probably won’t work a second time around. Also, besides the store on this website, where would I be able to gain a seagrass mat or grass mat, how much would they cost, and how big would they be?

They sell really big ones here for a great price, and they are better quality in my opinion of the ones they sell at petco. I think it’s like 6 bucks for the biggest size one BB sells?

Ditto Lintini. I’ve seen them in pet stores, but they’re always teeny tiny and not as nice as the ones BB sells.

The petstore grassmats are smaller and more expensive than what BB sells. And the great things about the BB store is that shipping is so inexpensive, you can place a pretty big order and get it all shipped for just a little bit.

Really? You see, I’m not a big fan of ordering online. Mainly because I simply need things immediately most of the time. I’m also very impatient and ordering online takes longer than just going to the store. I’ll take a look at the binky bunny store now.

I get impatient with shipping too, but you get a much better selection and you get toys that bunnies will actually WANT to play with. Mine will ignore most things from petstores… the big corporations just don’t know what a bunny really wants…

(And you’re in California… so shipping shouldn’t take too long, that’s where BB is!)

that is so cool!! You see, I’ll purchase items from a pet store that are for bunnies, but he never really wants to play with them. I’ll really start to think about purchasing something from the website. Thanks!

i just made a really cool toy for my buns. i took a small chain and added a dog clip to the end and then put on wood chews, their salt lick, they love their salt lick, a couple of toilet paper rolls and a plastic cat toy with a bell in it.
