I am baby sitting a couple of blue eyed white girls for a week while their family is on vacation.  They are Rabbit Haven foster bunnies, ready for adoption.  They were part of a litter of 10 (!) baby hotots that we rescued from someones backyard where a bunch of semi feral rabbits were going crazy breeding and were confiscated by Animal Control.  These two do not have any of the dark hotot eye markings, but they do have beautiful blue eyes.

        Calypso

        Boo

So beautiful! It’s hard to see the blue eyes in the pictures, but they are just so cute.

Oh how precious! *squee!* I love the name Boo, what a darling set of bunnies! But how do they tell them apart?

And yah, who needs mascara anyway? ^_^

Actually, I can’t tell them apart at all physically. Their personalities are quite different though. One of them is much more outgoing, the other enjoys hiding in her little plywood house. I can tell them apart now because there were three of them when the week started, and their sister was barbaring them between the shoulders, so the one with the larger sore is Boo and the smaller sore is Calypso. The foster family can tell them apart though. Their eyes are different too, one of them has half blue and half black eyes, the other is all blue.

So delicate … how the heck do you get the bun to sit in the basket long enough to take a pic

I am a master of the continuous exposure .  When I do photo shoots, I set my camera into the mode that takes picture continuously, then set the bunny up and fire away.  My kids are usually on hand to reset the bunny and the props when the bunny climbs away.  I usually get 20-30 lousy shots before I get a good one.  I also don’t use flash, so that the images can be snapped every second or so without waiting for the flash to reload.
