After reading some forums, I became motivated to do some baking and came up with a recipe for Chai. I didn’t know what she would think, due to she is an extremely picky eater. As soon as I gave her one of these cookies, it was quickly gone. If you try the recipe, please let me know what your rabbit thinks – even if it is a very hard angry thump.
I would probably shrink this recipe in the future since it made a ton of cookies; but you can always freeze them.
Ingredients
398 ml/14 oz can of pineapple
2 cups Red River Cereal
1 cup carrot
1/2 cup cucumber
1 cup oats.
Instructions
~ Take a 398 ml / 14 oz can of pineapple and dump its liquid contents into 2 cups of Red River Cereal. Add 1 cup of water to the mixture. Place in microwave and heat for 5 minutes.
~ Take Pineapples and either chop or blend into a puree. Dump into cereal mixture and mix.
~ Take 1 cup of either chopped or pureed carrots and add to mix.
~ Take 1/2 cup chopped or pureed cucumber and add to mix.
~ Your mix should be clingy to itself. Add hot water if it is not and allow it to sit to soak. This will be approximately 15 – 30 minutes.
~ Add 1 cup of oats (check to make sure there is no additives).
~ Mix everything really well.
~ Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
~ Use corn oil or Pam and very lightly grease the baking sheet.
~ Use two teaspoons to scoop small lumps of mix onto the baking sheet. Tap into a shape.
~ Bake for 1/2 hour and allow to cool.
