Check out these new clippers I saw in a catalog!  They have a light that shines so you can see the quick.  I wonder if you could use it on rabbits?

With the Careful Clipper, trimming your cat or dog’s nails is as it should be: precise and totally painless. Patented technology includes a flexible 6″ light that illuminates each nail so you can avoid accidentally cutting into the “quick”—the vein and nerve bundle that runs through the center. Easy-to-grip handles are rubberized to prevent slipping. High-carbon steel blade stays sharp longer. Uses four LR41 batteries (included). 6″ long.

they’re very large.  it would be cool if there were a smaller version.

Thats a good question because it looks so easy to use. Even though all ads in a magazine, catalog, or tv always looks nice n easy. LoL

If they would work though….I’m buying them.

P.S-How do you know how far down to clip their nails? I dont want to hurt him.

I think they look rather large to use successfully and safely on a bunny.

Hey now that’s a neat product and I did find a small scissor type of version with the light attached http://www.shopping.com/xPC-Dogmatic-Careful-Clipper-Small-Scissors-Style-Cat-Dog. (I can’t vouch for this company that the link goes to, but is just to show you that a smaller one actually does exist) I wonder how small small really is. I’m going to call the company who makes it, and talk to them about it. If once I try it out, and it is something really special, then I actually would want to sell it.

Also, sort of off the subject has anyone used the furminator before?

a light attached would really help with finding the quick with those dark nails.

Okay, so I ordered the “small” version. I’ll let you know if it’s something worthwhile. IMHO

                          Awesome thanks binky!!

My mom has the furminator for our dog and LOVES it…The first time she used it she had to phone me to tell me about it. I’ve since heard you can use it on buns. Kahlua is going to have her stitches removed tomorrow, so when I pick her up from my mom’s house (luckily my mom takes my bunnies to the vets since they are only open while I’m at work) I’m going to try her fuminator out on kahlua and see how it works….So I’ll keep you posted!
