Hand made by me!  This has been a project in the works for a while and it’s finally finished   I wish it could be a bit bigger but I live at home and I’m luck I was able to get away with this  Someday though, bunnies, someday!

They still get there normal out of cage hours, but it’s so nice that they have a bit more room to move during the night time and while I’m away.  I think they like it!  I’m not sure about the bed that’s on the bottom level yet – I’m thinking I’ll remove it so they have max. space (they don’t really seem to use it anyway) but I’ll leave it for a while longer and let them decide!.  It will certainly be removed during the summer months at least.

I welcome comments, suggestions, and questions!

That is great! What do you use to cover the wire on the levels?

Let me know if I’m misunderstanding what you mean.  The shelves aren’t made of wire at all.  Only the walls and top are made of the wire squares.  The shelves/platforms are made of particle board and covered with stick on tiles which are covered with carpets and/or blankets.  Since the particle board is pretty heavy and my bunnies are pretty big there are pine supports and legs.  I also drilled holes around the edges of the shelves and zip tied them onto the sides for extra support and to keep them in place.  Let me know if that makes sense or if you meant something else.

I think some people just use more of the wire squares ziptied as a shelf and cover it.  I made shelves from wood and particle board – they are more like little tables since they have legs for support.  I also came across some designs where the shelves were simply sitting on dowl rods!

Here’s a link that might help you get started:  http://www.rabbitcondo.com/moredetails.htm  Also google image ’bunny condo’ and take a look at all the different designs there are!  I kind of did a figure it out as you go approach, but there are a lot of guides and pictures out there if you want specific instructions!
