Well here is chocolate chips new cage. It is 4 cubes tall x 3 cubes wide x 2 cubes deep. It’s almost done, just need to add something for the flooring (maybe coroplast?), the ramps, and some wire around it.

        Hopefully the picture will work

THAT LOOKS GREAT!!! Once you have the solid floors in, he’ll have a great time in there. I like how you overlapped the floor openings so there are no straight drops anywhere in the condo. One suggestion, get some wooden dowels to provide more stability for the levels.

            Good job.
Yes, coroplast will work very well.

I had coroplast as the flooring in the old condo my buns had. It worked great, easy to clean. I did have to put fleece over it though, as they did find it a bit slippery. But my buns are picky

That looks wonderful!! Once the flooring is in, it will be a great place for Chocolate Chip.

The one thing about tiles attached to the cardboard—  urine might seep through the cracks of the tiles and cause odor and mold within the cardboard. (unless I am picturing it incorrectly).

I was able to get vinyl remnant from a carpet/flooring store for cheap. One piece, easy to clean.

It’s hard to tell what the NIC cubes are secured with, but I know that the little round connectors aren’t enough, so you will need to secure with zipties IF you haven’t already.   If it feels “wobbly” or unsteady, you can secure it with dowels cut to size.

I know you were worried about the size of the girds and your young bunny’s head squeezing through those (in an ealrier post)), but it looks like you were able to get the ones with smaller grid proprotions??  If so, I’m so happy for you as in some places they were more difficult to find.

Congrats on a great start!   Keep us updated.

I used both connectors and zip ties. It seems pretty sturdy but I will probably get some wooden dowels just in case.

The tiles are pretty close together but I can peel them off the cardboard if I need to clean inbetween them or change the cardboard.

Nice. I like it. I did something similar for flooring. I got some laminate tiles and duct taped the undersides together on the seams. On top of that I have a old baby blanket on the floor so if there are any accidents they are absorbed by that. It seems to work pretty well – although I have only been using it for a little more than a month. I figure if needed I can always replace the tape.

Well here is an updated picture of it. I have it split in 2 until I can get more wire and some dowels or something to hold the levels up. He will live in the bottom 2 levels for now (will move all the stuff in top 2 levels down).
