        Hi!

I brought a 12 week old lionhead bunny home a couple of days ago. It’s been ages since I’ve had one so I’m not used to their behaviors at all. I keep being paranoid and thinking she’s ill. I’ve had her for for about 4 days and yesterday she started to shake her head and jump when I let her out for playtime. She also scratches herself quite often, or at least to me it seems like she does it often, so I thought that there could be something wrong with her ears but I checked and they seem fine. At first I thought she might be doing the binky but I’ve never seem it in person and the ones ive seen in videos seem different. I’m not sure if this is normal or should if I be worried.

If the jump and head shake is in response to being let out, it is likely a binky.

Where is she itching and does the skin/fur look unusual in those areas?

She scratches her neck/head, close to her ears. The skin looks normal and she doesn’t really do that as often in her hutch.

I wouldn’t be too worried. Just check daily to see if you notice anything if you are worried about it. It sounds like binkys and grooming.
