        Hi everyone!

So, my partner came into me tonight and told me that one of his customers had been to our house that day and noticed our 2 beautiful rabbits… This customer had mentioned that he had a rabbit too, but it was male, and they were going on Holidays for a few weeks and were going to just put the bunny down (without the vets help) so they wouldnt have to find lodgings for it while they were away.

Carl was furious with the guy (as you would be), and immediately asked me if we minded having another bunny, as this one needs rescuing. I said of course he can come live with us! So tomorrow we are going to pick up the new Mr Bunny, and give him a wonderful new home here with 2 bunny friends

We just got a new HUGE hutch for our 2 little girl bunnies, and tonight we are going to buy another one for MR bunny, (dont know his name yet), so that he can have a huge house next door to his new friends.  Because apparently he is in a  really small hutch at this guys house.

I was just wondering, I have been told he is about 4 years old… Should we get him desexed (when he settles in) , or is it best to leave him with his bits… I have heard that if you desex them when they are too old, it can cause problems. Is this true? How old is too old? I just dont know if its ok for him to play with my lady bunnies because he might accidentally trip and fall on one and get her pregnant  - which would not be good. Is it ok to desex him?

Hi Lancy, to put something down is to kill it. Very sad, but Im just so glad that we found out about Mr Bunny so he can come live with us The people he is with at the moment are not very nice.

thanks, Kafrn i keep it in mind by creating a scene that A shot B down to the ground and never get up again. it seems like a kind of crime scene…
i’m so glad to hear Mr. Bunny stay away from being put down. i’m furious too. a life being traded in for holidays? that won’t be Holy-days, that’s Miserable-days.
ok, tomorrow would be a turn-point in Mr. Bunny’s life, like a match, first half bad, second half happy. i do believe the sencond would last much much longer and old words again— I can’t wait to see pix!

Wow! I haven’t quite heard that excuse before. And how long have these “people” had this bunny? That is seriously irresponsible! I hope your partner gave them some words…but being customers I guess your hands are tied a bit.
Anyway, yay for you guys! You’ve certainly been pulled in by bunnies. Hook, line and sinker!

4 years is absolutely ok to get him fixed.  Have you been able to find a vet yet?  I sent you an email but not much help I’m afraid. Not sure if you received it.

Hey kate, I didnt get an email from you My address is k.sullivan@internode.on.net if that helps any
My partner hadn’t given the man any words yet cause he didnt want to insult him before the bunny came incase the man changed his mind and decided not to give him to us. But last night the guy rocked up with the new rabbit, (who is HUGE!!!), and dropped him off, and then Carl told him how irresponsible he was, and then the guy left.
the Bunny is so beautiful, he is ENORMOUS and black and white, with black lop ears, and he is a real thumper! But he is really nervous, and twitches when you pat him. the other family called him Twitch, but I would like to give him a new name because Twitch is a bit mean, he is only twitching because they were mean to him He is so beautiful. I cant wait to get home and give him love.

It’s wonderful that you stepped in and rescued this bunny from those heartless idiots.  Now he can have a real family.

You should definitely get  him neutered as soon as  possible.  That will mean a healthier, less frustrating life for him, and will eliminate the danger of a surprise litter.

Sounds like a plan, I was a little worried about neutering him so soon, I thought he might want to settle in first… but should I just take him straight away? It might be easier for him being near 2 lady bunnies…
