        Hello.
So. I got Otis on Jan 14. He’s been great. But now he wants nothing to do with me. If I try to pet him, he turns his back on me. I have another bunny who is a few months younger and is a total ham! I’m hoping that it’s just because he is New and his Breeder only handled him for nails and to go to shows. He is 10 months old. I try to just sit quietly near him. I pretend to groom myself. I don’t know. I put in a strawberry hiding bed and he just likes to hump it. Neuter is scheduled. I keep telling myself that he will come around and that Cecil was that way (standoffish) at First. Sorry for the rambling. Just want my new boy to be happy!!!

Neutering should help with some of the hormonal behaviors, but it won’t make him be more social if he’s just not inclined to be very social. Every bunny has a different personality, just like humans.

Also, it’s only been two weeks so you need to bond with him some more. My bunny was very wary of being pet for at least 1 month, then it took a few more months for her to be comfortable and relaxed around me. Patience is key

Ok! That’s what I figured. I’ll be patient!! Thanks so much!
