Soooo i got a new baby bunny today and i wasnt sure when to start bonding her with my 5-6 month old lion head. The new baby is a netherlands dwarf and she is about 3 weeks to a month. Any suggestions on a safe way to intoduce them to eachother?

You want to wait until after both buns are fixed before starting to bond your buns. Sometimes you’re never 100% sure as to what gender your bun is. You want to make sure you don’t have an opps litter by allowing them to be in a cage together. I would wait about a month and a half after they are fixed before stating introductions. This allows your buns time to have their hormones die down and this will allow the bonding process to go smoother.

If the baby rabbits is under a month old or younger it’s WAY too young to be away from it’s mom. She should still be drinking her mother’s milk.

As for bonding, both bunnies need to be spayed + 1 month for hormones to dissipate before any bonding can take place.
