Hi all-
I’m brand new here on the forum, though I’ve used it a lot for information in the past few months. So thank you to everyone who has already assisted me in my bunny business!
So here is my situation: I have a pretty well-bonded pair of buns at the moment. Ana and Cinna. Ana is just under 1 year old (spayed already), and Cinna is 4 months old about to be neutered this week. I’ve had them both now for about 2 months and they’ve bonded quite well. At this point I’m not sure what to do with Cinna after his surgery. Do I separate them or do I put them back together? At the moment, they have a whole room that they roam around in, plus a “cage area”. They share everything.
I am able to create a temporary enclosure for Cinna if he needs to be separated from Ana while he recovers. Everything I’ve read so far only talks about keeping them separated after surgery for a while BEFORE trying to bond them. I can’t find anything about what to do with an already bonded pair.
Does anyone have any advice? Do I keep them separated after he gets snipped and for how long?
Thanks so much in advance!
