I just don’t understand, I got my male rabbit neutered around Late February, and although he’s been super licky and less nippy than before, he STILL keeps trying to flip everything. He’s always outside the cage with my other rabbit for 7 hours+, I’ve given him plenty of toys in and out of the cage, and he has lots of room to run around..

I’m worried he has something, so I plan on taking him to the vet in a few days. Has anyone else experienced this?? He’s one years old and I love him with all my heart, but it’s becoming such a frustrating routine having to put things back in place after he’s flipped everything

If anyone knows any good way to get him to stop, please!! Please tell me!!

Sometimes flipping things isn’t hormonal but rather just their personality.

Do you see him playing with the toys? Not all rabbits play with toys as it’s not exactly the natural thing to do (think wild buns). If he’s just flipping because he’s bored, you could try giving him some food motivated toys like a treat ball or some puzzle toys he has to solve to get to the treats.

If there’s really nothing to keep him from being bored, you may just have to remove the things he can flip. What exactly is he flipping over? Also, is he properly bonded to the other bun? As in have they gone through the proper bonding process?

Flipping? Like he’s picking up things and tossing them? Leopold does that all the time. He’s neutered and he’s 8 years old. He just likes to toss things.

I don’t think a rabbit that throws things around needs to see a vet. It’s just a way of playing. If he’s flipping messy things like litter trays, it might be worth putting something heavy in it to prevent it. Heavy ceramic bowls stop water bowls being flipped.
