        Hi,
I have one male angora rabbit, whose companion died a little while ago. I have been trying to find him a new buddy and just came across a good match! The only problem is, my two bunnies were fixed when they were very young, and this new five year old female bunny is not. I want to bond them, and of course spay her because that is what’s healthy for her. Should I spay her and then bond the two, or bond them and then get her spayed? And when should I introduce her to me? I am new to bonding because I had had my bunnies from when they were very young and they were litter mates so no bonding was nessecar. Please help me! Thanks you,
        TheAngora

Definitely have her spayed first. You’ll need to wait a month or so after the operation to allow healing and time for her hormones to dissipate before you can start actual bonding, but while that’s in progress, you can do what’s called pre-bonding (don’t allow them physical contact with each other but do let them be able to see and smell each other and swap around their various things, maybe even swap them between their cages or habitats). The idea is to get them accustomed to one another before actual bonding starts.

I have a 1.5 year old neutered male mini lop and I just got a 10 week female mini lop. I really want them to live together as a bonded pair but I’m worried that she is too young. What should I do? If I have to wait till she is spayed (+healing) then so be it but it’s there anything I can do in the meanwhile to ensure they get along later?

Sunil, you’ll have to spay her first. I learned this the hard way. I did exactly what you and the angora did, I tried to bond my baby femal bunny with my neutered male bunny. After three months of being bonded, they started fighting because my female was so hormonal. I took them apart and I’m spaying my female this week. I would suggest just putting their cages near each other, and swapping toys and litter boxes or even cages
