Ok well we have a new bunny, had her for about two months. Plus we have two cats, well today I made our living room, the only place she can really be, we'll the pen we had, she was jumping out of, and she was having to stay in her cage a good portion of the day because of it, we hated doing it to her but it was the only thing in budget we could do, well I bunny-proofed our living room so she can now run around, she's been binkying all afternoon, but now, she's attacking our cats while they are in the cut off area, she never done anything to them before when they were in her pen, she's about 8 months to a year. She's a Netherlands dwarf, and she is fixed, and she is now peeing on all our blankets and on the couch, which she never done before when she was outside her pen. One of our cats are now on my lap and she's fine with him now, idk what's going on, wether she just got really excited and wanted to play and just got a little ruff with our cats or if she's possibly hitting puberty and that's why she's doing this. Sorry this post is so random and out there but idk what to do or how to react to this. Can anyone help?

It sounds like she’s being territorital. Even fixed bunnies will mark their territory and get a bit aggressive with ‘intruders.’ The marking should ease up once she’s more settled in the new space and she’s convinced everyone knows that room belongs to her. A lot of it has to do with her age too. Teenage bunnies are brats. She will chill out when she gets a bit older.

I agree with bpash. It’s probably all territorial .Unfortunately, since she’s already spayed, all you can really do is hope the behavior reduces over time. As for peeing on the couch, this is very common for bunnies. You could try blocking off the couch or putting some newspaper with a potty on it on the couch. Not ideal but it’s better than pee on the couch.

Some buns are territorial and aggressive around cats. My Mini-Rex would chase them out of “his” living room whenever he was out for play time. My cats just learned to avoid him.
