okay we got our new girl Daisy on Sunday and I thought she was doing really good with her littler box but it appears she has also peeing elsewhere.  i originally just got a large outdoor mat to protect the carpet since she is currently in the living room until she is bonded with our boy but now that she has peed on this outdoor rug its starting to smell and its running off onto the carpet.  I looked at cloroplast but that is too slick.  Any ideas on something that is easy to clean and that i could use to keep the pee from leaking onto the carpet

I have linolium for the condo; it’s on top of a wood platform. For my x-pen, I have a shower curtain on my carpet. Both are not too slippery but I also have towels / blankets / rug covering parts of each because I think they like that better than without. If you use a curtain, just make sure it’s larger than the enclosed area in case they pee on the edges.

so they dont tear up the curtain? that would be a good idea because you can pull up it on the sides so no pee goes out but i would be afraid she would just tear through it

Mine has not torn through it (I got the polyester kind) but I don’t think they are major diggers either and I’ve only had them a few weeks. One does like to chew holes in towels but has not chewed any in the curtain. You can get curtains really cheap so you can try and see and/or get vinyl ones; I think that’s harder to tear through.

I have the little linoleum stick tiles on the particle board for the condo and it works well, it’s very easy to clean and I throw in old towel, blankets, etc. so they have traction to hop to the next shelf.
