So, here’s what Little Lord Kuro doesn’t care for:
He only likes to chew boxes (that gets on my nerves too much to let him do it all the time), he likes to climb up in all the places I get heart attacks if he does then he can’t come down and whines. I think his mom was a cat.
He seldom enjoys rafia ropes to play tug-o-war with me, he likes to hump my guests’ loafers and to run around outside, but it’s 35°C+ and he’s stuck inside where there’s the A/C at least for another 20 days.
He’s spending his days and nights just chillaxing + every now and then there’s a veeeery casual tentative to chew my backpack. Needless to say he gets poked away from there and so he’s pretty much hating me right now unless I dispense food.
I’m going crazy, I need to keep him occupied
Do I need to make a bunny threadmill? Is it time to pass on to agility training? He’ll be ripe for a family dinner if he keeps stuffing his face without moving
At the moment the most exciting “game” he is willing to engage in is me wriggling hay in front of his face and him trying to get it…
What about digging toys? Fill up a box or a washing basket with shredded paper or something else bunny safe to dig in. Maybe add some treats to dig for. And cut a hole in the front to get in obviously!
One of my rabbits also loves relocating pegs too, if that’s any help!
Actually, said rabbit also loves pouncing on the cat’s tail. Get your bunny a cat! ![]()
You could get him a kitten tree for safe(er) climbing adventures.
I just posted recently about Chewie’s diggy box – a lot quieter when he’s chewing, since he’s doing it from the INside, and the paper balls muffle the sound.
Have you tried baby keys? Chewie loves to toss his (his aren’t for babies though… I was cheap and bought a set of colourful key covers that all came on a plastic ring anyways lol)
Thank you for your replies!
When I can afford a place of my own I really want to get him a friend! But the vet advised to absolutely not go for another rabbit and I’ve seen my Lord scare off a wild cat… so I’m thinking of a small doggie. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to find a second-hand pug
I would also love to get him one of those cool kitty trees but the space is so limited in here…
I am squeamish about digging boxes because he enjoys eating paper sometimes. I hadn’t thought about paper balls, maybe he’ll leave those alone! I shall experiment by tossing him some paper balls and see what he thinks about those. (Q8bunny sorry I can’t find your topic… help? ._. Feeling stupid right now xD)
He has a few small sticks and balls that he likes to toss around, but he gets uninterested very fast, this bun is all about chewing. Right now he’s de-barking a very long apple stick and he’s 1/3 done XD If anyone needs stuff de-barked please give him a call

Ahhhh it was a treasure hunt! I need to get better at stalking
Thanks!
You need to watch more Indiana Jones-type movies ![]()
There’s an Indiana Jones marathon these thursdays on Italian tv xD I will study!
Btw I love the idea of two boxes connected, I shall try and then update about my Lord’s response
You may just discover that Kuro is secretly an engineer. ![]()
I made a makeshift cave of pleasures (waiting monday to go hunt for boxes). Let’s see…
20 days later, he enjoys regularly his digging box! Damn this took a lot of time!
Better late than never ![]()
Glad the digging box held some appeal for him.
With your other toys, try fixing them safely to a board that sits of the floor. So he can really get stuck into them with his teeth. Maybe use plastic zip tie and holes place strategically in the board.

Same with these. If you can find a way to keep them steady, he’ll more likely chew at them longer.
Im just thinking if these might work to make something with the sticks.

If you can weight them down by putting something inside, then postion a short distance apart. Put hole in the sides facing each other and wedge sticks into the holes so they go across like hurdles. I’m more thinking of this idea for chewing purposes but if a bunny wants to use it for agility, who’s to stop them!
You could also add interesting things into the holder.
I need to get to ikea! I like that they have a lot of untreated, bunny safe wood.
mh mh ò3ò interesting, I hadn’t thought about this! I hadn’t even thought about ikea wood stuff cause I thought it was the wrong wood in case he chews it!
I’m building a makeshift agility thingie with two kitchen paper roll holders since he likes to jump over stuff… I’ll try that and if he likes I’ll def upgrade to the wooden multipurpose stands ![]()
More update! Turns out he loves to chew on his stuff now that I’ve secured the sticks! ![]()
Yay!
I “secured” some apple sticks last night…in my fingers.
Very cute watching bunny mouth chewing away on it.
XD hehe I keep them up for him all the time.. the problem is that he is unable to entertain himself =.= little spoilet brat
But a CUTE spoiled brat ![]()
