Help Needed!
We were contacted by Bunny Rescue in Nashville. If anyone can help please contact us or Bunny Rescue. It is supposed to get down to 5 degrees tonight.

PLEASE HELP!
A horrible case of rabbit abuse and neglect in Cross Plains, TN (about 30 miles north of Nashville).
A dog rescuer was removing /rehoming 10 dogs tethered outside a man’s trailer when she spotted 15 rabbits outside in a nasty hutch – on wire with no food, empty water bottles and no hay. A few pregnant females had given birth to litters that immediately died in the cold weather. She went back every day for a week, and still no food or water, even after pleading with the man and leaving a bag of food and hay with him.
The owner is retired guy on disability who could care less about them. He is willing to relinquish them though, if we give him 20-30 dollars. (argh!) We had 2 different volunteers stop by with food and hay, and the poor rabbits dove on it and devoured it them immediately began to do happy jump like they had not eaten in weeks.
If anyone can help us by fostering just ONE of these rabbits, please call me. THIS IS OUR MOST DESPERATE NEED. (temporary foster moms and dads for 1-2 months_
The GOOD NEWS – after they are healthy, we will be able to adopt them out through the new rescue program at PetCo. They announced recently that they have stopped selling rabbits and will only be showcasing rescue rabbits in all of their stores. This came as a result of a long, hard fought campaign conducted by the House Rabbit Society on a national level. I will send everyone that announcement in a separate email.
Other needs we have are with help removing/rescuing these rabbits, transporting, or feeding any that may have to be left behind. (hopefully not, with weather getting down to 5 degrees.)
