OH dear it was that time agian.   I just can’t believe how much easier Ruby is to do than Cotton.  Once I have her over and petted her some she lies right there.  Nails anals everything.

        But Cotton               NOOOOOOOOOOOOO not Cotton

I flip him over grab  a nail finally pull the hair back from it and actually see it    doggone if Cotton doesn’t flip himself back over or wiggle side to side

I ended up trimming 1 nail too short.  Poor fellow.  If he woudl just be still.  I talk to him I sooth him and pet him he goes out then I trim a few nails and ooop he is up again.  I am afraid if I put him between my thighs I might squeeze him too hard.  I tried doing him on my bed tonite.  Not any easier there.

Next time I will do it    on the couch.  One leg holding him against a pillow.  That seemed to work last time.  Or by that time he was just tired and worn himself out.

And the anals.   I woudl get one open and all the fur out of the way and then he wiggles. Tthere went the spot and I had to restart again.  He got a big treat when we were done tho.

Have you tried a bunny borrito? I use to try and hold mine down to clip thier nails and they would flip all over the place then I tried the burrito and it stopped them from wiggling and flipping over so much. They seemed to be much calmer when they were wrapped up.

Otto’s the same way, and it helps if I put a towel over his eyes while he’s on his back. He still wiggles a bit, but at least I can get a whole foot done before he flips back over.

Cotton sounds like a candidate for a burrito. There’s a good video about doing one but I can’t locate it in my favorites. I just saw it recently too.

Anyone here have that link handy?

Here’s a link to a post I made a couple of weeks ago that might help.

I have him in a tight burrito and he still flips himself around.   He starts with his head and front feet.  I think he pushes off the towel  with his hind feet.  I find if I stop and pet his face b4 trimming (once I have him staying put) I can do a foot b4 he flips.

                He can be a handful.
