My beautiful bun Masha crossed the rainbow bridge on the 16th. I miss her so much! Her end came way too soon and I just wish I could spend 1 more day with her! Every time I look at her empty cage I start crying. She was a perfect bunny and I can’t believe I’m not with her anymore.

She was fine on the 14th, and then on the 15th she started hiding and wouldn’t eat, drink, or use the restroom. We waited 12 or so hours to see if things got better, but instead they got worse. We finally took Masha to the vet and they said that she had GI Stasis. We didn’t know how long she had it for. After about an hour (it was already midnight) they suggested putting her to sleep. We all agreed, because the vets said she was in a lot of pain.

I’ll never forget how beautiful and sweet she was! She loved hiding under her blanket and waiting for us to find her <3

To all the grieving bunny owners out there, this really helped me cope:

I’m so sorry you lost Masha 💔

GI stasis is often a symptom of something else, sometimes sth that has been going on for a while. As you know, rabbits are experts at hiding illness until they no longer can.

          Binky free, sweet girl.

@SweetPotato – I’m sorry I’m so late to this, but I just wanted to say that I’m so sorry you lost Masha. I can relate to how much pain you must’ve went through – losing our fur babies is horrible. I’ve lost two of my buns and I still haven’t healed from it all. Take your time to grieve, but don’t be sad forever. Stay positive, stay strong! ((Sending positive vibes, hugs and lots of love))
