I was supposed to go sign the final papers tonight for the accepted offer…

but my realtor called about an hour ago in tears, she said her dog had just been hit by a car and they were at the vet’s (which luckily was 4 blocks away) but they didn’t know how he was She said she was going to be there for a long time, and that she would call the sellers to let them know I accepted but that we would have to sign the papers tomorrow.

Oh…how awful… Her house is right on the corner of a very busy street too, and it was rush hour, I was there on Sunday making my offer so I can see how if her dog just got out and ran straight he’d have gone straight into the road…

Oh, I hope he makes it…he’s a little Wheaton terrier….

Oh poor pup! (((((((healing vibes))))))))) Oh the poor dear! And poor you too! I hope it all comes out okay.

This is not a good day for animals it seems. We came home today to find my twelve year old arthritic Mackenzie husky wedged under the porch. We’d been in town all day and no idea how long he’d been like that, but he has enough trouble getting around and going to the bathroom and stuff. It was hard work to get him out and then he was just so glad to be able to go wee on a tree!

Someone we knew had been outside at the house though, and we tried to get out of him what had happened and he claimed he knew nothing about it. (He’d left an envelope in our door frame though, and Shadow is too good of a watchdog to let someone in that area, so we think he knows something he’s not telling.)

One wouldn’t think of dogs as delicate, but they can be so much so.

Mimz – your poor pup I’m glad you were able to get him out and he was all right…

OK, I talked to the assistant realtor who works with mine as a team and I asked how the doggie was – and he made it through the night! The vets said if he made it through the night that was very positive…so I’m hopeful for Zekkie

                          yay Zekkie!

Mimz – oh my word. Well maybe you can ask other neighbors? He had to have been really frightened like fireworks going off or something. Maybe they have a pellet gun and were shooting at him with it? I think I would take the pup to a vet and have an x-ray to be sure there are no bee-bees lodged inside of him and a check up. Was what was in the envelope related to this incident at all?

Oh Zekkie, what a cute name! ^^ Glad to hear he’s through the first night. What a scary thing to have happen!
Thanks Scarlet and Loppy, no there’s no outer injuries and my hubby knows how to find things like bb pellets, so we are glad he’s okay. He’s full of P & V today, and back to his old self. ^^
The envelope contained a payment that we usually get from this person when we are home. He just got a wild hair to deliver it when we weren’t here. And I don’t like this guy anyway. Neighbors are too far away, blocked by trees or just in general ignorant idiots who wouldn’t give a fig about anyone but themselves. We’ve actually had some neighbors poison some of our dogs and we’ve never been able to prove it is them, so we just try to keep an eye out for anyone suspcious when we are here.
Shadow is VERY afraid of fireworks and guns popping and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what scared him under the porch, because this guy is too much of a weener to manhandle my dog, who easily weighs 100 lbs.
*urgh* But the important thing is that Loppy’s realtor’s dog is doing well. I’ll keep healing thoughts going for him!
