  My rabbit is back, first, I just want to say that the people were so nice. Holly took the time and talked with me, and in the end it still was only $70. They through in a free nail trim, they said everything went well, and I found out how my rabit likes being carried! They used those invisible stitches(I think two layers, something like that under and some sort of glue on the outside-I didn’t want a place who used that staple stuff.) They said not to fast rabbit, and Holly seemed really experienced with rabbit, and so did the other lady(she said she had two rabbits). The place was so clean, I loved the design and I hope that they people who have rabbits who want to neuter them and live near the Paws Clinc, should go their. Anyways, when I got my rabbit home, I removed anything high that he can jump on, he started sniffing around and walked around, he didn’t eat anything though, but I tempted him with the SECRET WEAPON……THE APPLE! It lost its head first then the rest. I am so happy that everything went well, my rabbit is doing well, but I have question….When I saw him flopped, I wanted him to have something soft, so I put a blanket in that area, but then when I saw him again, he moved from that area. The floor is a cement floor, why does he do that?. OH yeah, any after neuter operation advice to making him feel better?

  My rabbits both wanted a very cool area to lay in after the surgery, he probably likes the cement floor because it’s cool. Don’t worry about the hard surface, he’ll pick his preference and if it hurt him he’d move.
  
  It’s great he’s eating already, you can try some fresh greens with water on them to get him some liquids. They will eat fresh foods first then hay then pellets usually. Just keep an eye on the area and look out for signs of infection, keep his litter box clean for the next few days and try to keep him from moving around too much and hurting himself.

  Congratulations . I always think it’s so great to get that part over with. Man, that clinic sounds great, I wish we had something like that around here. Mine cost $300. My boy also preferred the hard surfaces. My girl liked soft. They know what they want

  My rabbit started eating the same day as the operation(as soon as I got home), which made me really happy. He first ate an apple, then pellets, but he isn’t eating his hay. Hmm…..any advise on how to get him to eat his hay? He only like the fuzzy stuff! He has been drinking plenty of water since we brought him home. He is jumpy again, his bunny-self is coming back! OH, yeah, is their any after symptoms of behavior from the operation?

  You may notice some acting up as the hormones go out of balance from the surgery until they settle themselves – Powder got very hormonal and was a living terror for a few weeks. If he’s a hay eater, he should start eating his hay when he feels like it after he fully recovers.
