Sorry about my lanugage at the top. I got Jawbetty, a male rabbit, back in October. He was a 6 month old rex rabbit, and he is an only rabbit. Almost imediatly he became potty trained and became my bedroom rabbit, allowed to roam the bedroom and the bathroom (rabbit proofed side of the house). Of course he got a little out of hand sometimes in the beginning, he would jump on the bed and poop all around it. One time (around november or december) he pissed all over our bed. So, ultimately, we (my boyfriend and I) washed the blankets, and began dissalowing him on the bed. We then had him neutered to prevent any agrresive behavior and to also help prevent little piss accidents to mark his territory. Anyways, this all happened before January of this year and the past few months have been wonderful. He’s been a little angel and we’ve taken great care of him. His diet is well and we treat him with love and happiness. So this is why I’m confused why last week he once again pissed all over my bed. He hasn’t even pooped outside his cage in months, much less pissed all over my bed. After he pissed all over my bed last week, he started pooping all over my bedroom. I have no idea what the hell happened. The past few months have been wonderful and hes been good and potty trained and now he’s being rebellious and nonresponsive. I don’t even know what to do. I haven’t and never will discipline with force, but I am at a loss. Can anybody help?

A change like that can happen in reaction to something. So new litter or scented one, new lotions/perfumes, laundry detergent you might be using. They recognize us by smell a lot, so when a new smell is introduced they might see it as a new person in the area. Also, other animal scents, so if you or bf have been around friends cats or dogs for example.

Or he might be reaction to a change in routine and marking can make him feel more secure. Have you been at home less? Had any visitors staying? Been home more recently and now are not so much?

Neutered rabbits can have a little surge in hormones I think. Sometimes when there’s a season change. Sometimes they get out of whack when they’re shedding heavily too.

Try identify what the trigger might be. I suppose you’ll have to limit his access to the bed until things hopefully settle.

Hmmm. I suppose it might be the hormones because we haven’t been around any new animals (I say that because we also have a dog. They are friends though and it’s been like that for months). We don’t use a scented detergent, no new perfumes. I have no idea. I’ve been at home about the same. The day he pissed all over the bed, we had him out all day, more than 8 hours, most of it he spent flopped, before he pissed on our bed.

The only other thing I think might be going on is I bought a new game and have been playing it, but I’m still paying attention to him. I don’t know I don’t know!! Ahhhh this is annoying. He seems mad at me for some reason.
