  I own 2 horses – well, a horse and a pony Kayo is my 21 year old Appaloosa gelding, and Misty is my Paint/Shetland mare, 8 years old.
  
  Misty was in need of some new winter blankies, or "bankies" as I lovingly call them, so I ordered her some off a Pony website.
  
  Here is her Medium Turnout bankie!
  
  And here is her cotton sheet, suitable for being inside in her stall!

  I got them from http://www.justforponies.com ; it’s well, as the name implies! And it’s AWESOME! You would never find the selection around here…!

  Sorry, your pics have set me off into tears, she’s so lovely!!! (it was on our local news today about an awful, sickening in fact, act of cruelty towards horses quite close to my parents house, seeing such a beautiful animal enjoying her pink things, again it makes me wonder how on earth someone…anyway…enough of that..(www.bucksfreepress.co.uk)…

  I too am appalled…..and can’t believe it has taken until now to be brought to attention. I hope the rest of those other horses will find sanctuary and peace now. The person responsible should be locked up….although with our legal system they’ll probably just get a slap on the wrist and banned from keeping animals for a while 🙁

  That is a horrible story of cruelty. We had another case here just recently as well and it was a horse rescue of all places…..grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

  Not that it in ANY way makes up for the horrific goings on over here, but i have just donated some money after receiving a very nice email from the welfare team of the horse sanctuary responsible for the rescue efforts. I feel a bit better.
