Hi everyone, I am new here and I am glad to be part of Binky Bunny. I recently about 1 week back adopted a bunny. When i went to the centre, everyone in the store told me he is feisty, had big attitude, is rude and all. However i still adopted him as i knew it was all because he was abandoned. When i got him home he was scared but i still kept his cage open so he can roam around and get used to the place. £ days past he started to come out alot and enjoy the outdoors. Now he doesn’t like his cage at all. He looks upset every time i lock him in as he is out most of the time. He also hasn’t been neutered yet. Even when i am at work i try to leave his cage open but he always been to be still and sad in the corner. When i am around he is happy for a while does binky and all but after a while he goes to the sofa and stays still again. I want to get him friend but i have to wait to get him neutered first. Idk what to do as i feel guilty every time i think he is sad. Idk what to do.

          Hello, welcome

Well, it can be he’s still adjusting to his new home, it may take a while for a bun to get used to their new territory (and new humans). I think he’s not sad but just being a little lazy potato. If he sits in a relaxed pose, eats, drinks and poops, he’s comfortable. Buns sleep most of the day, so it’s not uncommon for them to just lounge in one spot for hours.
Did you try to offer him some chew toys? Maybe they’ll interest him enough to make him less lazy
