         Hi all

My Girls Jazz and Harmony are going at “it” like rabbits at the moment as they are only a few months old i have not had them done yet. They play happy together as they are sisters and i have no problems. But i have notice that one of them have two bite marks on her back, I know this as i caught them not being lady like and saw it happen. Do you think i should separate them till i can get them done or will this just pass in a few weeks. I dont want either of them to be lonely are hurt bad

You should get them checked out to make sure that you have 2 girls and not a boy and a girl, although 2 girls can mount for dominace reasons.  It sounds like they are getting phyiscally dominant with nipping and mounting- and if you are not getting them spayed ASAP they should be separated to preven further injuries.  How old are the bunnies?

Some buns will reach puberty earlier than others. It sounds like the hormones may be starting to kick in, and while humping is a sign of dominance and is not necessarily a bad thing, it can also escalate into fighting if both buns are after the “top spot”. Do you have separate housing for them so you can separate them if you need to?
