My friends rabbit shakes whether it’s inside the cage, outside it, being held, or just anytime. She doesn’t really know how to take care of it I don’t think because I have told her she doesn’t need to hold it every minute or yell at it if it’s doing nothing wrong. But the rabbit just shakes like it’s cold, but her house is usually pretty warm most of the time. I have held the rabbit before and it wasn’t shaking or trying to get away, but I think it’s afraid of her and doesn’t like the smells of the household. I don’t know what I should do, I give her all the tips that I use for my rabbits and my rabbits do not shake. I think she needs to understand that you don’t hold a rabbit too often like a dog or cat, but she continues to do what she does and he still shakes and it worries me, what should I do?

Consider telling her to talk to a vet, and recommend her a good vet to talk to. Bring it up like you are concerned for the bunnies health and think it needs to be seen asap. Hopefully she will bring her bunny in and the vet will help correct her behavior around her rabbit.

You can also contact a vet yourself and see if they will offer you advice on the situation.

Thank you for caring for this little bun

If she’s constantly picking him up, no wonder he shakes. He’s probably terrified of her, and when he isn’t being held he’s probably anticipating being picked up. She needs to educate herself on bunny care. If she’s not prepared to respect a rabbit’s needs, I don’t know what to suggest…
