so u all *most of you* have seen my old cage, with the four levels that my bun shares with her sis (they have bonded very well by the way). i was talking to my mom and i had my bun running outside while we were having a fire. she started saying how they were really cute, and they should be able to run outside more. i told her it wasnt safe with hawks and stuff, soo she agreed to let me build another cage outside. it was gonna be a run, were it was just a strip of floor, but then it didnt make the yard look nice, so we moved to ” alcatraz island” (the area blocked off behind my pond) because it has a rock and bush to hide by and they cant pass cuz they hate water. we didnt want to see them drowning randomly, so we went to under the tree. it doesnt look nice now, but we are gonna add grass and hills and a hide out. its just so we dont have to watch them, and they can have fresh air. when we are watching them, we let them run in the yard (yes watching them).

(first pic is where we were gonna put it, but nah (thats not a ghost. its smoke from a fire)

(second pic is “Alcatraz island. they sit where the bushes are in the back)

(third is it now. we are gonna add grass and hills and hideouts and stuff. i will post more about it later)

is there going to be a cover over the top? are you going to remove the rocks? i think they could hurt themselves if they are running over the rocks.

I think that once the rocks are removed and grass put down, it could be a nice little space for them. But remember, don’t EVER leave them out there unsupervised! If they are out there, you must be with them – so much could happen, especially with no cover to protect them (that tree could serve as a landing perch for any hawks out there), and with so little space for them to run, it will be an easy kill. I don’t mean to dampen your spirits, just giving a fair warning.
