Philomena really loves getting into trouble. I find it adorable but I don’t encourage the behavior. And she only does it when she thinks I’m not looking or if I’m not paying enough attention to her.

When I say getting into trouble I mean things like:

Getting passed the barricade that separates her bunny proofed room and the other half of the apartment. (she then binkies around me as I try to get her out of there)

chewing on furniture (and continuing to chew on it even if I give her a wood chew)

Running around with a stray leaf that blew in from outside (if it was anything else she would drop it if she saw me walking to her or she would just continue eating it whether or not I was there)

Stealing my homework (I give her newspapers to play with now and she doesn’t care for them, she only wants them when I need them for an assignment)

Chasing the cat (the cat doesn’t want anything to do with the rabbit because my dog Dexter will chase the cat if the cat gets too close to the rabbit) But Philomena still tests this boundary (she pays no attention to the dog, just the cat)

Digs out the litter out of her litter box

Digs in between the couch cushions (even if my body is in the way she will dig at that particular spot, it actually tickles)

All of this is manageable and isn’t causing major problems, I was just curious if anybody else’s rabbit seems to love getting into trouble.

Yes my rabbbit is very curious and sassy. She gets into EVERYTHING! She is super sweet when she wants to be, but when I want something, she does the opposite! It can be pretty funny but also annoying. I know exactly what you’re going through. Haha!

My buns are ok- a perk of grown up buns, but they LOVE hiding under the bath tub! Theyre mischevious lil things.

This reminds me of what my husband described today. I was downstairs in the office paying bills and I could hear him lecturing Pumpkin upstairs. Apparently he was trying to wrap presents and she wanted to “help”…she kept biting at the paper, running off with the tape. He would give up and sit back up on the couch and she would run to her cage. He’d get back on the floor again to wrap and she’d come running out and start all over! Haha….they are frustrating but we couldn’t live w/out them!

I think what is both appealing about a bunny and also a source of mild (or moderate) annoyance is that bunnies are trouble makers and love to be mischievous. That is part of their personality. I swear it wasn’t curiosity that killed the cat, it was the rabbit!

But yes I relate. My bunny does not chew on the appropriate things that I buy for her to chew, but rather the things that she should not chew the most. She loves to jump on the bed, and sneak around barriers. Again a source of annoyance but appeal as well

I can totally agree. When my March was a little baby she would sneak under my bed and then get stuck in the springs. So I blocked off my bed so she can’t get under it anymore, but she still chews and gnaws and digs at the cardboard I shoved under the bead until she can squeeze under. And then she gets stuck again. I swear she just does it because she knows its off limits. It would be hilarious to see a bunny running around with leaves in their mouths though. hahah I wish I could see that.

Lol i’m really late to this thread, but my bunny enjoys getting in trouble. Every time he’s doing something he’s not supposed to be doing such as eating freaking paint off a door, i’ll run towards him telling him to stop.. and he’ll run off binkying lmao. and less than 3-5 mins later, he’ll be back at it again. I could never say he’s a bad bunny, just very mischievous.
