Hey guys! So my bun, Lola, keeps jumping on to the couch and chewing holes in the fabric! It’s not even my couch! I would be okay with her being on the couch if she didn’t eat it. She has lots of toys to chew. I’ve been trying to teacher not to be on the couch but it doesn’t seem to work! I’ve tried clapping my hands and making loud noises. She knows what “get down” means because she hops down when I tell her to. Her spay appt is on 3/16. I know some destructive habits will fade with the hormones, but I was just wondering if there is anything else i can try in the meantime?

Unfortunately even after being fixed for a while my buck chewed many holes in the back cushion of the chair in his room and also put holes elsewhere on the chair so I wouldn’t count on spaying necessarily helping.

Bunnies tend to want to go where they aren’t allowed so it’s also difficult to train them not to jump on the couch. I have resorted to putting pens around my nice furniture but know a lot of people aren’t willing to deal with the look or inconvenience. Have you tried covering the furniture so even if she chews she’s not getting to the fabric?

Put a thick towel down? That is what I did when indie kept peeing on mine. At least it will offer a buffer/obstacle for her to go through

Yeah, I feared that would be the case. I can put blanket over the couch so she doesn’t get to it until i can afford to buy another pen. Thanks for both of your help!
