Right now Lily is inside and she is acting weird. They have a few boxes in their cage to hide in. She is laying in one of the boxes, but her head is shaking every time she takes a breath. She is going back and forth between being normal and shaking. My parents aren’t home and it will be a few hours before they get back. Is there anything I can do? Is it normal for them to do this?

Head shaking can be a sign of ear problems. It could be worth a vet visit to check it out. What breed are your bunnies? Lop eared buns are prone to ear problems.

They are both Holland lop/ lion head. Her head is kind of nodding up and down rather than shaking. Would that be any different?

She could be hiccuping. Asriel gets into hiccuping spells where his head bobs for about a minute and it happens for about 10 minutes where he just gets them and then it stops.

                  Good call, A&B!
Cocoa, if you head over to youtube and search “rabbit hiccup” there are lots of videos. Compare those to what you are seeing with Lily.

Thanks! I will look at that. These are my first bunnies.
