I wasn’t sure where to post this one but I know that we have had some threads before about good things to grow for our rabbits. Matt is a chef so we have an herb garden set up in the basement and we just planted a bunch of seeds about two weeks ago. I thought I would share some pictures with you guys. We planted a bunch of stuff that the bunnies can eat and it is my first time trying to grow some of this stuff so I will definately let you guys know how it goes.

These are carrots, never grown them before, hopefully they’ll work out.

Pretty sure this is some of my lettuce. . .

The middle of this one is tomatoes but the outside is parsley

Actually right now most of the seedlings are under a higher power grow light that Matt will be using for his tomatoes and peppers later on (he has three different kinds of tomatoes and I think six different kinds of peppers started). The herbs, lettuce and carrots will be moved to a different spot under florescent lights in a few weeks though. The setup they are in right now is pretty sophisticated but they will be moved into one that would be fairly easr for anyone to set up in their own place.

They look nice and healthy , I am thinking of growing veggies as buying them is getting expensive.

Yes, I was thinking of growing some myself but I was wondering where to get quality organic seeds from ?  You have to be careful now with all the pesticides they’re using……they seep into the seeds and then you’re not really getting “organic”, so you have to be careful what you buy nowadays…….so sad it’s come to that :o(

Those are great looking seedlings, btw !  That soil looks so rich and good……..I’m so anxious to watch them grow !

How lucky can ya get, having a Chef for a beau

Around here, we have a great little indoor gardening store that sells all organic seeds and fertilizers. It’s called Worm’s Way. They have stores in Indiana, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, Kentucky, and Tennessee. They have a site too http://www.wormsway.com I am pretty sure you can order basically everything from there.
