I brought a bag of potato chips into my room and ever so slightly opened it. Immediately Marble ran full speed toward me to beg for some. I knew she could not have them, but being the sneaky bunny she is, she some how got the bag from me. She ate like 2 crumbs. And for some reason she keeps doing binkies. She must have really liked that chip. She keeps begging for more, if they were not bad for bunnies then they would make a great training treat. She is going nuts for them! Any-who, I read in a thread from 2015 that this same thing happened to another bun owner and that their bunny was fine. What do you suggest I do, should I give lots of hay and water, she is eating her hay and I have seen poops. Will she be fine?

I’m pretty sure all bunnies will have eaten something they shouldn’t in their lifetime. Sometimes it causes problems while other times it doesn’t. 2 crumbs doesn’t sound like a problem but I suppose it also depends on how the individual bun tolerates it – just keep an eye on her and make sure she’s still eating lots of hay, drinking water and pooping healthily

I doubt a few crumbs will cause any harm. The real harm would be if she ate them all the time. Just keep an eye, since some bunnies have stomachs of steel while others do not.

Ok thanks,Marble is more on the hardier side, she has been doing well, eating tons of hay and is actively pooping.

I’ve caught Sam eating cereal (twice), crumbs off the kitchen floor, a plastic coffee takeout cup, leather shoes, a bagel, and probably some other things…I’ve always managed to snatch them away before he eats more than a bite, but we’ve never had a problem do be careful in general though.
