My Bunnies are Fighting??!

I am at my wits end I have no idea whats happening to my two mini rex bunnies. They bonded together last November they used to eat together, groom each other, sleep and nap together and even follow each other around outside. Now the smaller one (Lumps)  refuses to be even in the same area as the bigger one (Dumps). If Dumps tries to approach Lumps she instantly starts flicking her tail,  is constantly making grunting pig noises just runs away from Dumps. If Dumps does get close to Lumps all she does is lick her and sit close to her, but soon enough Lumps will freak out and run away. Sometimes they get into a showdown and face each other. Lumps will kinda lunge at Dumps and making grunting noises and Dumps goes flat. 

They went through a period of humping each other… like a lot which is when this all kinda started. However, the weird thing is Lumps the one having the freak out issues now was the one humping the bigger one Dumps ALL THE TIME. Dumps only humped Lumps a couple times and has never done so again. 

They were literally inseparable before but now i don’t know what to do. Lumps wants to be away from Dumps and Dumps wants to be by Lumps. Is this a Spring madness or what? 

The grunting got so bad and loud I separated them for now. However I think it stresses Dumps out to be away from Lumps, but Lumps obviously is stressed when they are together.

I would leave them separated, but close, with a baby gate between them to prevent any injuries (make sure it’s far enough away they can’t grab noses etc through the gate) and work on rebonding. Sounds like something upset their area enough to cause a territorial issue (the humping is about dominance) and it hurt their relationship enough to need a little work. My two have had to be separated once so far, because my rex decided to chase her bond mate around trying to bite him, even though he didn’t do anything to her. With my pair, it only took a few days to repair the relationship enough to go back to fully bonded, but you may have to do all the bonding over again until Lumps is comfortable again.

Are they both spayed/neutered?

I dont think so I took them in as a kind of rescue i just know they are both female.

Bunnies cannot really bond unless all parties are spayed/neutered. I would get that done and then 4-6 weeks after speutering bonding can take place.
