  I have a 3 1/2 to 4 month old bunny, i believe he’s a mini rex, cinnamon mix?? but i’m not sure…
  
  He has a runny nose, he sneezes and you can hear a little flem when he’s breathing, because of personal reazons, I won’t have money to take him to the vet til friday! what can I do in the meantime???

  Hi! Unfortunately those are some signs that your bun is quite sick, especially the runny nose and heavy breathing…I will try to look up some information on home remedies, but I would very strongly suggest if you can find ANY way to get him to the vet sooner, you should! I do not want to frighten you, but it sounds quite serious if it is in his lungs, so the sooner to the vet the better!
  
  Is he eating as normal? If not, you really do need to get him to the vet, as his sickness might have caused him to not be digesting properly. Are there any rabbit rescues around you? Perhaps you could contact them for help to get to a vet today?

  I found out i can get cash out of my credit card (never knew), so I called them and I’m taking him tonight to one of the vets I found through the website,

  Welcome Vaneza! Well, I sure am sorry to hear about your bunny, but I am happy that you were able to find a way to get him to a vet asap.   It’s good to get established with a rabbit savvy vet, so though this may not have been the way you wanted to do it, at least you’ll now have a vet to rely on.
  
  Also, I understand that vet visits can really be expensive. Most vets take credit cards so hopefully you won’t have to only do cash. Also, you may want to see if the vet you see takes "Care Credit" It’s a lower interest rate credit card for health services only. You have to choose whether you want to use if for human health or animal health (but you can also switch back and forth I believe as long as you call the company) Anyway, I also like the care credit because I can’t buy new shoes, or anything else that catches my eye, and so it always is in my wallet only waiting for emergencies.
  
  Also, I have VPI pet insurance, and they would have covered the costs about 70 – 80% ( You still have to pay upfront with most vets, but the insurance reimburses within a few weeks). It costs around $12 dollars a month, and you get a discount if you have more than one animal on it.
  
  Things I know they don’t cover include parasitic stuff, like fleas, mites, worms and e.cuniculi. But they cover infections and digestive problems. Both of which are common in rabbits and can really cost a fortune.   I always say, you pay for the vet, not the pet.  Vets are expensive.   I just spent over $500 in the last week. Rucy had her spurs trimmed and an e.cuniculi test.   And Bailey had x-rays, and treatment for e.cuniculi.

  yeah, they said bunnies were very delicate, I don’t know if i mentioned this, but I was going to get him neutered today, and they wanted to have him in observation for a little, but it looks like he’ll be fine… )
  
  I do have to wait a week or two before I get him neutered, since he can’t handle the anestesia right now…
  
  they’ll tell me exactly what’s wrong when I pick him up in a few minutes though…
