Musical Preferences?

 Radar seems to love it when my boyfriend practices his classical guitar, she falls asleep under his chair.  She hates it when he listens to anything with singing… I think she’s confused about the voices.  So overall she’s a classical music kind of gal…

I was wondering if your buns had any musical preferences.

Radar is such a cutie! My two like flutes and Native American music, classical is OK as well.  They don’t seem to like singing too much either.

I love it when you catch them in odd places and they give you a look like " what ?? this is my house too"

We have music playing in our house all the time. I have never thought to see what the rabbits think of whats on. I’m going to start paying closer attention. Unfortuanatly for them my 3 year old daughter only really likes fast music that she can dance to, so they are probobly more concerned with the loud thumping of her crazy dance moves then they are the music.

i have no idea at all what music Baby likes.  she sits with me & the dog in the living room at night for a while but the tv is always on.  never have had music in her room.  but now i’m wanting to experiment.  how much do you want to bet she has absolutely NO reaction to any type of music at all.

Pandora loves David Bowie. She binkies around like nuts when he’s singing. Hareiette likes electronic music the best. Viktor doesn’t seems to care much one way or another about music.

I can’t believe there is a bunny out there that likes David Bowie!  That’s so awesome!

As for the book thing.  She does have book preferences too…. mostly my boyfriend’s school books (which are rented) and library books. She chews on them or digs at them like a phonebook.  The handy dandy squirt bottle has saved three literature books and an entomology reference guide.

Pepper ignores most recorded music but LOVES live music.  She really likes it when I sing, and she always hangs out with us when we rehearse – she will shake her head if someone squawks a note!

Oh my goodness these are such funny stories! I’m pretty sure my girls just put up with our music…I used to leave either the radio or the tv on for kokanee before she had kahlua; I pretended that she like the oldies station and watching her soaps in the afternoon…But truthfully they just ignore the music….Think I am going to try some Bowie though and see what happens!!

Well mine doesn’t seem to care about music one way or the other but if there’s an anime show on TV, she’ll hop onto the armrest of the couch and watch it. I guess she likes all the colors.

I’ll have to see if Radar likes cartoons… I know she likes watching meerkat manor.  I taught her to beg whenever I say "meerkat" and whenever that show is on, she spends half her time on her hind legs thinking she’s getting a raisin.

Trust me on the Bowie thing, my friend’s bunny loves him too! If we put on Labyrinth Pandora goes nuts dancing around, especially during Magic Dance. 🙂

i told my bf about this thread last night and told him I was going to be downloading bowie (and probably something from many different kinds of music) to see what they liked best…he gave me the very well known “Lesley you are CRAZY” look…hehe OH WELL! I am hopefully going to be doing this tonight or tomorrow..I will let you know what our preferences are!

Had to add an update from last night.

Apparently Pepper highly disapproves of harmonicas!

We had a brief "go over what we’re going to record tomorrow" meeting last night, and as we were packing up we put on a CD to hear the original artists version of a song we already recorded.  His version is more of a talky-bluegrass thing with guitar and a harmonica solo in the middle.

Well, when that harmonica kicked in she whirled around with a VERY indignant *thump* and was clearly searching for the source of the offending sound!  She thumped a few more times for good measure (by this point the music was somewhat covered by the sound of our snickering) and at the end of the song she flounced off under the chair.

Fred seems to love TV show theme music. He is particula to the ESPN SportsCenter tune as well as the theme to HOUSE, MD and Gilmore Girls. I am a bad daddy…I let him watch anything he wants.

Haha I’ve been reading this thread since it started, thinking, “don’t be so silly, rabbit’s can’t possibly have favourite songs/theme tunes”, but i sit here today thinking back over things, and it has just twigged (i know DUH!!), I now perhaps know why the Terrible Two haven’t ventured out of the bedroom for a while, but have appeared at the living room door about the same time for the last 2 nights……i have realised we haven’t watched “Road Wars” for absolutely ages, but have done the last 2 evenings!!!! (it’s a real life docusoap thing about the police and crime busting with Thames Valley Police….lol loads of sirens wailing, and “GO GO GO’s”

hey me too!  was flicking around the music channels on my tv & the 70’s rock had bowie… Baby started frolicking & head twitching.  wierd huh?  i surfed diff channels & didn’t get the same reaction to any other songs.  wonder what it is about bowie hmmm

Maybe he was a rabbit in a previous life?  Or there are sublminal messages in bunny taped with the songs.  Maybe the rabbits are rejoicing at their plot to take over the world!
