Okay so mister mufassa and me have a really good bond with each other. I know the signs of affection. He licks and nips gently. Grinds his teeth when I’m petting him. But he does this things (I’m just wondering if I’m assuming right) when I’m holding him and letting him where he slowly puts his head back and his chest puffs out but then he almost looks dead in my arms. Is it safe to assume hes just super relaxed and comfortable with me??

Also my second big question.  Again we have a good bond me and mufassa. Hes got his moments like all rabbits do. But he seems to be extreamly aggressive towards my boyfriend anytime he trys to put his hand in the enclosure to feed him or try and pet him. Mufassa actually advance at my boyfriend from the other side of the room.

        Why is he doing this?

A lot of people here complain about their bunnies not being friendly to boyfriends/girlfriends. Is Mufassa neutered? If not, his hormones may be targeting your boyfriend. If he is, he probably just needs to bond with yout boyfriend a little mroe. There is some great advice on how to bond with an aggressive rabbit on BB. Good luck!

As for your first question, some bunnies are just weird. He might just enjoy tipping his head back, (I know a dog that does that) or even be inviting you to (gently) scratch his chin/throat area.

How are you holding him exactly?

About your second question, there could be a couple of reasons. If he generally spends less time with your boyfriend, then it could be that he’s still unsure of what to think since he is most likely still viewing your boyfriend as a threat. Another possibility is the fact that he views the enclosure as a safe space so having an unfamiliar hand reaching in is actually intimidating. You could ask your boyfriend to sit in the enclosure without doing anything to the bunny. Don’t reach out or try to pet him. Let him get used to the smell.
