I tried adding a third 28″X28″ level, but realized that in order to put that in there I would have to do away with the detatchable wall, which would mean no access to the middle level. Hopefully you’ll see what I mean with the photos (as some show the wall down). I could attach the level a little lower, but that would only leave him about 15″ of height on the large middle level. What do you think? Is that a big deal? He would have the height on the top level – I’d just build the walls up a square. I just want to give him on more level in there but am not sure how to go about it! Any suggestions are welcome!
The cage is 42″ X 28″ by 42″H. Aside from the full bottom level, there is one 28″ X 28″ level and one 28″ X 14″ level.The cage is now 42″X28″X55″, with one full level, two 28″X28″ levels, and one 28″X14″ level. Most recent pics first.

Looks good to me! You could also turn it length ways if you know what i mean, so it’s longer rather than taller, but that might require quite a lot of effort moving the levels etc :p Those levels are good, and not too high so he can’t fall off, and he has lots of toys, so he doesn’t really NEED another level, but I love rebuilding my bunny’s house so i can see where you’re coming from ^^

I don’t have the space to turn it on it’s side unfortunately. I also have a 4 foot bird cage among others, hehe.
Df course he has constant access to clean hay. It is in the litter area beneath the second level – he likes his bathroom area private so it’s quite hidden
Hay goes in the very front of the litterbox, fresh several times per day. Thanks for your comments
ETA: If I added another 28″X28″ level as a fourth level and made sure he had lots of height up there, would it be detrimental still to have only 15″ of height on the large second level? He could still stand straight up with room to spare on part of the bottom level, the 28″ X 14″ level, and the very top 28″ X 28″ level. It just looks too small to me as is and I’m itching to upgrade!

Hehe yep you’d love it here. Everyone thinks I’m mental. I have 13 pets right now…Geez, that’s an unlucky number. Might have to add a third mouse
(and that’s how it happens). I’m pretty sure I work solely to support my crew (and pay bills, but that’s secondary). I actually figured out how to add another level without removing access to any of them. New pics in the OP !
