        Hi All

We have a 6 year old holland lop and have been thinking of getting him a friend for a little while now. We will be moving to a new home at the end of the month and are thinking it may be a good opportunity to get him a friend as it will be a new place and neutral for both of them. Wondering if it would be too much stress for our little guy (Butterscotch) since it will be a new place and there will be another bunny there. Thoughts?

It’s actually a great time to do it! Could you take him to the shelter to speed date before you move? That way you could bring his potential friend home the same day you guys move or even before you move? It’s important for both of them that you give them space away from each other to let them settle into the new house before trying to bond them. After letting them both settle in for about a month, then you can begin prebonding them for another month and move them next to each other. After a month of prebonding you can begin short bonding sessions in neutral territory. And of course make sure they’re both fixed
