Hi there, I moved my bunny’s enclosure from one side of the room to another a few days ago. Now, she will rarely leave under her cage door which I leave open.

She went to the vet last week and is super healthy, plus eats normally. I’m worried she’s bored, but don’t know how to help her – she does have toys, etc. but seems to prefer laying there.

Any suggestions on how to get her to go elsewhere and be a little more active?

Note: she has half a room to roam around, etc. I just keep the litter box and food/water in the cage.

She sure is cute! 😀 She could just be getting used to the move.

I also notice the floors look slippery? A lot of bunnies wont move around much if the floors are slippery, so you can add some rugs or blankets to give her some traction.

Since it’s a new set up/area, the slippery floors can seem novel as well, even if she has navigated on them before. I agree that putting something down to ease her may help!

A change of environment, even small, can throw some rabbits off. My Fable does the low-army-crawl whenever something has been moved or put on the floor. Shopping bag? Scary. Chair moved? Scary.

So funny, I had no idea that it would throw her off so much!

She seemed to be just fine on the floors although slippery, but I’ll put a rug tomorrow and see how it is! Thanks for the help!
