i just came from the best cuddle session yet with pinky!

i think she knew it was mothers day & this was her generous gift to me.  i laid down on the couch in pinky’s room today after spending most of the day out of town for mothers day and pinky jumped up right by my head for pets.  she has joined me on the couch before but always laying by my hips & snuggling along my legs.  so when she jumped up by my head i thought it was to pass on by but she stayed for pets and cuddled right up tucking her wee head under my cheek.  then she started licking my face & nose & eyelids!  she’d lick lick lick & then put her nose by my mouth so i’d give her kisses & then she’d lick lick lick again.  it was so sweet!

and here i thought she’d be ticked off that she missed her ‘free roam’ time like baby bun who tossed her litter all over her bedroom floor.  silly goose.

Oh that’s too precious! ^_^ I think I’m going to have to go and get Mim out of his pen and see if he’ll cuddle with me like that today! I’ve been so busy tending injured dog and husband, we haven’t had our xpen time yet.
I have never been licked by either bun unless I have ‘eau de treat’ on my hands. How on earth do you get them to lick you? Do you have to train them?

I can just see it. Happy Mother’s Day!

(and MM, maybe you have to taste good? Go work up a good sweat and then try it. The human salt lick.)

Yay bunny-lickies! A got a great cuddle from Perry yesterday, too– I was really surprised, since he’s only been here 3 days. But he cuddled into my lap and made me pet him for almost an hour. And MimzMum, it seems like some bunnies just lick and others don’t. Monty is a big licker, and has been since shortly after we got him, while Humphrey is more docile but not too interested in licking humans. He’ll lick my stuffed animals and laundry, though. I’m not sure about Perry yet, but his foster-mommy says he’s not a licker. Silly bunnies.

                      I got a FLOP!!!

                      Pepper’s first ever FLOP!!!!

She was digging under her footstool-outpost, so I ooched it over to put a newspaper under it so that she had somethign ti dig at.

She clearly didn’t think much of this, and flounced away back to her usual fort.  Then she THREW herself into a full-on flop.

“I’m really MUCH more comfortable over here, so there”.  Just like a teenager throwing herself on to her bed,

oh wendyzski thats adoreable!  how are you pepper doing with her recent health issues?  she must be pretty darn happy regardless of what’s up!

yes i think kisses depend on the bun bun.  baby bun didn’t give kisses until after her lumpectomy when she turned into a semi lovey-dovey girl.  i think its out of gratitude for being all fixed up.  she stil is an independant bun but when i lay on her floor she’ll run over to greet me while honking & give me kisses.  for years all she’d do was generally approach me and possible start licking a chair leg or dresser leg while i was there.

                          Bunny slaves are so silly!
What other pet owner would be all excited about their pet falling down in what looks like a dead faint???
                          I love bunnies!!!

I am cautiously optimistic.  She is getting a little more active every day.  She sneezed a LOT over the weekend but I’m hoping it’s because the goo in her head is breaking up.  Yesterday she actually begged for treats again!  I almost cried.
