        Hello,

Saturday am is Morelands Nuter.  I have a few questions on what to expect.  will he act diffrently right after?  and what can i do to make him the most confertible?  he is in a hutch with a ramp inside will it be bad for him to use his ramp?  should i set up his groundlevel cage? or just close up the cage and let him be in his ex pin?  also he will not for the life of him let me pick him up or make a bunnyrito.  how will i check on him and make sure his areas arent really swolen like the pics on here a few days ago?

any advice ideas would help.  im freaking out for him

I’d set it up so it’s only one level and everything he needs is on that level . Clean it out the day before so its nice and sanitary for when he gets home. He’ll likely be groggy and if you get pain meds (ask for them) then he’ll be groggy for about two days afterwards. Make sure you have all his favorite foods on hand like carrots, parsley etc. he’ll be more likely to eat if it’s yummy! Take an emergency vet number from your vet in case you have problems after hours.

I’m not too sure what to look for with males, but you want to check the incision site for any seeping, inflamation or signs of infection. If nothing is leaking out, it isn’t puffy and it’s pink you’re probably good. Your vet will go over all this with you as well.

Hi Angelina!   I know it’s just as traumatic for you as it is for your furry snuggle muffin.  I personally have not had to go through the spay/neuter process, but I can tell you that the neuters are easier and generally heal faster and I ditto what K & K has already described.

I think that these previous discussions may help:
