  Anyone know a low cost spay around Monterey area? I have a friend in Monterey that wont spay their bun because they dont want to pay for it. I’ve convince the owner to fix the bun if I can find a better place.

  Are there any rescues down there? Is so, I would call them and ask. I have seen discounted spays & neuters at animals shelters. Did you google rabbit rescues in the Monterey area? I think there are a people down that way on these forums so hopefully they will respond. You might even call a vet’s office that specialize in the exotics and ask them for a recommendation. If your friend thinks a spay is a lot what is she going to do if there is a true medical problem! Good for you for doing some research though.

  Here are a couple of places you could try. I’ll ask Heather too. What town does your friend live in? Some of the local shelters have low cost S/N for residents. Another option, more work for you, is can you foster the bun for a couple of days and take her to the Palo Alto low cost S/N clinic?

  Thank you so much Osprey. In the worst case, I’m going to keep them with me for a week in Palo Alto. I dont want to be responsible for taking care of ‘sick’ buns though.
