So my little boy Momo is making a weird almost clicking noise. He is neutered so it’s not to do with mating I think. I’m not sure what he is trying to say.

Welcome to BB. It’s great you’re asking questions about new behaviors you’re observing.

Teeth clicking can mean one of two things generally. Context and overall behavior are an important factor to consider.

          1) Happiness – Rabbits will “chatter” their teeth when they are happy/relaxed.
          2) Pain/Discomfort – Rabbits will “grind” their teeth when they are in pain or discomfort.

… Some owners says there’s a distinctive noise difference between them, but every rabbit is different. What sort of situations do you find your rabbit is making this noise? Is he hunched a lot? When was his neuter (maybe pain from recent neuter)?

Was he lying down/sitting/relaxing when he made the noise? You have to really listen closely, as teeth grinding (discomfort) is normally louder than tooth purring (enjoyment). But as wick said every bun is different. Pay attention to his other behaviours to see if he’s acting strangely, is he eating and pooping normally?
