I’m always telling Olivia how beautiful she is so I thought she should have a mirror so she could see for herself! I was at the petstore and found a really cute little bird mirror in the bargain bin. It’s a red heart mirror with a bell on it. I hung it up in her cage and she likes to clang the bell. Now I’m wondering if she can see herself in the mirror? I know cats can see in mirrors but not sure about bunnies. It adds a nice decor to her house anyhow.

I’ve been thinking about getting a mirror for mine as well.. One day Oreo got into the bedroom (where she isn’t allowed…but we left the door open accidentally)…and when I found her, she was motionless, staring at herself in our full length closet mirror….haha or whoever else she thought she was seeing!! Since then I’ve thought it would be a great idea to give them one to entertain themselves… Someone posted a really cute video recently of their bunny looking in the mirror (Chace I think)

My rabbit Sammy is really interested in the doors at the front of my TV stand. They have glass panes and he can see his reflection in them, so I think he thinks I keep another rabbit in there LOL

Yes, rabbits can see themselves… I have a mirror-covered closet door and two of my rabbits used to box at their reflections and snarl too.

Haha I can see them doing that!

Dennis likes to watch himself in our mirrored closet doors in our hallway, he just can’t get his mind around what that other bunny is doing over there!

How cute. I wish mine had not learnt about mirrors not being other bunnies… it was too cute when they thought there were bunnies in the mirror

When I first got Chacha, she was in my room, next to the closet. The closet has a mirror on it and she would stare at herself in it.. Lol.

That’s funny that they think there is another bunny. When I was little I used to trick my cat with the mirror. I had a full lenght mirror on my door and I would take it off the door and show her. She would keep going around to the back of the mirror looking for the other cat. It was cute but after a while she clued it. I don’t think Olivia sees herself, probably because the mirror area is quite small. I didn’t hear any honk/grunts!

It has been a while sine my rabbits saw themselves in the mirror b/c I blocked them from my closet after they went into my laundry bin… I should try and see if they will be fooled by the mirror again.
