Although I must admit…I may never be able to inject him with this PenG stuf myself…luckily the hubby did very well with the practice saline after seeing how the vet did the shot and I am sure that we’ll get the next three weeks done well if I just do the securing of Mimzy and he does the dirty work (Yah…let Mimzy be angry wtih HIM for sticking him once every three days!)

My bun did very well with this indignity at the office…it will probably be another story here at home.

He also got a nail trim and the vet said he’s gained weight since she lat saw him. Not getting pudgy, but it was good that he hadn’t LOST weight all this time. That showed her he was eating and drinking well.

I watched the whole procedure…the vet said he had pretty tough skin, but my husband said it was easy to inject the saline. I could almost hear that needle go in, gave me the creeps. You’d think that with all the sticks I got during my chemo and all, I’d be used to it by now. It’s one thing when someone is sticking you, it’s another thing to see someone stick someone you love.

He’s just gotten over a sneezing fit this evening and he’s still been sneezing on and off throughout the afternoon. This bothers me, but I know it won’t just up and go away right away…and we’re doing all we can. If this doesn’t work, we will all be truly stumped as to why he has this problem.

And he’s eaten a bit and drunk some water also…for the most part he seems his usual mellow self. It’s hot here so he’s just chillin’ his harbles on da marbles. I expect more activity this evening when I am ready to sleep and he wants me up to play.

Yay for Mimz! And thank goodness for Hubby eh?! I’d dread it if I ever have to give them needles too. Can you continue to Bendryl also?

Doc didn’t recommend using the benadryl with the Pen-G. Hm. I’ll have to ask her about that tomorrow. (I love my vet…open all weekend! Fwee!)
Thanks Jerz, good question! And yes…I have some days I’d like to give him a square kick, but for the most part, hubby is a lifesaver! ^_^

That all sounds like a good plan of action.
              I like your hubby.

I know with my own allergy medication it makes me expectorate first before drying me up, so, since he can’t cough up a furball, maybe the sneezing is expectorating it as it breaks up.

Or maybe he learned that if he wants your attention, start sneezing!

He actually looks pretty good today. I noticed yesterday evening he began washing himself furiously and I’m wondering if he was cleared up enough that he could smell himself or something for the first time in months. ^_^
Not that I could smell anything, he seemed clean to me. 0_o
I was just glad he passed the first night well. Now if the second injection goes well I will do my darndest to stop worrying.

                Yah, right…lawlz. xD

I do see a change in him though. One of those things you notice when you just KNOW something is not right with someone that you know hasn’t been feeling tip top…and then the change to better health comes and you feel the “Aahhh” vibes…you know?
Don’t wanna jinx anything though. *crosses fingers*
