Milo passed away yesterday unexpectedly…way too young.
He’d been huddled and uncomfortable-looking for a few days, but we chalked it up to his dental issues and post-surgical discomfort. Maybe he had been sick all along, though his apetite was still intact. Yesterday James went to check on Peppy and Milo (who were in temporary housing for winter break) and to give Milo his medications, when suddenly Milo started screaming and twitching.
And that was it.
We only adopted him in March, but it feels like he’s been with us forever. I remember him catching my eye in the shelter with his beautiful fur and I’m glad that we gave him the best life we could while he was with us. When he first came home he was a scared little bun who hid in the cage all day. However, he soon developed the habit of jumping straight into our laps and demanding pets, and was always our fearless little climber. While Peppy was petrified of vacuum cleaners and car rides, Milo couldn’t care less and easily settled into whatever was going on. I hope he’s settled into his new home now…binky free, my sweet boy. I hope you know how much we love you.
RIP Milo 2009 – 1/5/2012
