Are there any diseases, parasites, etc that can be passed from wild mice to bunnies? My dad found a mouse in the rabbit room today…so I just wanted to check there’s nothing Mr. Bunny could catch from one. Thanks!

I’m sure there are-but I don’t think theres a good chance of transmission.

I know number one worry here is hantavirus but that can only be caught when sweeping lots of dried feces. Maube mites/fleas etc. I’d just keep an eye but I’m sure you’ve nothing to worry about

Just make sure to keep all extra feed, hay and treats in sealed containers that the mice cannot get into- and keep the floor clean to discourage the mice from moving in.

If the food is contaminated with mouse poo- if a mouse got into the bag it should be thrown away- I think mice poo and urine can pass on disease.  Of course the mouse would have to be carrying that disease or parasite in order to pass it on- but better safe than sorry.
