I can sometimes get him to rest on my lap like that, but that is normally how he sleeps. I thought it was weird at first, but he likes it. lol

He is very cute!  Thanks for sharing. We love pictures here on this site.

Just a little side note, in the first pic it looked like he was eating iceberg lettuce. In case he was, I’m not sure if you know that it’s supposed to be bad for bunnies – it causes diarrhea – I guess because of the high water content?  Maybe someone else can add more?  From what I know, if they’re going to have lettuce it should be the dark green kind. I wouldn’t have known that if someone hadn’t told me, so just trying to help out.

Iceberg lettuce doesn’t have much nutrient-wise but the darker green ones do and with a bunny it’s pretty important to give them the most balanced diet as possible. Actually, any veggie can cause diarrhea if a rabbit is sensitive to it.

                            What a cutie pie.

What kind of rabbit is he?

                            I know it’s a lop but that’s all.

The first time a saw a lop I had said look at that poor rabbit its ears are hanging down it must be sad. Silly me I know now it was a breed of rabbit.

Sorry I don’t know too much about rabbits.

Lisa 43, he is a Mini lop, or some may say Holland lop. Im not sure if there is a difference between a mini lop and a Holland lop, I think its just two different names. You can get medium lops as well, or the largest that I know is a French lop.

welcome here!  he is an absolutely precious bun.  in the third picture, is he laying on his back or on his side?  if he’s on his side, that’s called the bunny "flop" and it’s one of the most contented bunny positions.  there’s a great site called Language of Lagomorphs that has more info about different positions and bunny behavior.  it’s linked below…

                                      http://www.muridae.com/rabbits/rabbittalk.html

as was said before, the best varieties of lettuce are the dark green kinds.  you can click on bunny info at the top and there’s a great section about bunny diets and what veggies are best for buns… and which ones not so much.
